Ogbia Kingdom inaugurates Flood Assessment Ad-hoc Committee
The meeting which held at the residence of His Eminence, the Obanobhan of Ogbia, today 29th October, 2022, moderated by the Chairman, Ogbia Brotherhood, Dr. Seibofa Azibana-Alaguo appointed and inaugurated the following persons (Professionals, Religious Leaders, Captains of Industries, the Academia, Technocrats etc) carter for all flood victims (directly and indirectly) in all the ravaged Ogbia communities;

10. Chief. (Engr.) Kopian Adike - Member (Mobilisation)
11. Dr. Godswill, Iboroma Ikuli - Member (Rep. Ogbia Brotherhood Exco/Health)
While inaugurating the committee with a charge for prompt action, the National Chairman of the revered Ogbia Brotherhood, Dr. Seibofa Azibana-Alaguo, also rolled out the under listed summarised terms of reference which include but not limited to;
- ° To visit and assess the current situation in all communities ravaged by the flood.
- ° Complement State Government efforts in ameliorating the sufferings of flood victims
- ° To ensure effective and efficient distribution of relief materials.
- ° Daily monitor and evaluate the health profile of victims in the affected communities to prevent possible disease outbreaks, especially waterborne diseases.
- ° To submit a brief report of activities during and after the flood to Obanobhan in Council and Ogbia Exco amongst others.
The inauguration immediately followed with a joint interactive session amongst members of the meeting; His Eminence in Council, Ogbia Brotherhood Parent body, The Committee members, Ogbia Brotherhood Women and Youth Wing representatives, which considered sundry issues bothering on engagements with relevant stakeholders, IDP Camps, documentaries, relief materials, health and sensitization.
His Eminence in Council and other members used the opportunity to appreciate His Excellency the Governor of Bayelsa State, Sen. Douye Diri, for his effort and commitment so far in alleviating the sufferings of Bayelsans in this trying moment and empathise with other Bayelsans as we all go through this tough time.
The Chairman in his acceptance speech on behalf of the committee thanked the Obanobhan, the leadership of the Ogbia Brotherhood and the entire Ogbia Kingdom for this terrific opportunity to serve the kingdom, as he assures of their readiness and passion to honour our people.
