INEC Disqualifies 6 Bayelsa State Governorship Candidates (See Reason)



The electoral umpire has disqualified six (6) candidates from the Bayelsa State November 16 Governorship elections.

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) disqualified 6 bringing the number of candidates to 46 out of 52 nominations she received.

Disqualified  are: Victor E. Izofapei of PDC (30years old); Deborah Ade  of SDP (31);Peter David of  ANDP (34); Princes Owali Willaims  of PPM  (27); Lucky Opio of RDMP (32); Sadjere Regan (31); and O. Ikolid Ayebanda  of YPP ( 34).

INEC disclosed that the nominated candidates for governorship and deputy were disqualified for being below the minimum age prescribed by the constitution.
